In October, the population of the United States will reach 300 Million.

To commemorate this milestone, the Population Resource Center, the Population Reference Bureau, the American Sociological Association, the Association of Population Centers and the Population Association of America sponsored a symposium to highlight the impacts of America’s growing population on the ways we work, live, and are governed.

Rethinking Representation Roundtable

Click to Enlarge This roundtable emerged from Population Resource Center’s fall program 300 Million Americans commemorating the United States reaching a population of 300 million. At the program, there was a discussion of the pressures an additional 100 million people, projected for 2040, will put on this country.
